Message from the President
Greetings!
On behalf of the Montgomery (AL) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, we welcome you to our website. Our Sorority was founded January 13, 1913 by 22 (twenty-two) young women on the campus of Howard University to promote academic excellence and provide assistance to those in need. Today, Delta Sigma Theta has grown to over 1,000 collegiate and alumnae chapters.
Since our chapter chartering in 1937, we have remained dedicated to a mission of service, striving to uplift and build our communities in our service area which includes Montgomery, Autauga, and Elmore counties. We are deeply grateful for the continued interest and partnerships that have allowed us to make positive changes the areas of economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement.
Together, we will continue to make a lasting difference in our communities. Thank you for your ongoing support and stay connected with us!
MISSION STATEMENT
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is an organization of college educated
women committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service with a
primary focus on the Black community.
VISION STATEMENT
Striving with a spirit of purpose, the Montgomery (AL) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will position chapter members to readily engage and collaborate to effect positive change in our service area, always.
